The weekly pediatric grand round sessions are aimed at discussing a blend of selected hot topics in Pediatrics ranging from new innovative topics to updates on common pediatric disorders, treatments, diagnostic tests, research, and evidence-based practice. These sessions may include also professional development topics, education, and training, as well as the business of medicine and practice management.
Speakers may range from primary to specialty pediatric care, nursing, other health professions, legal, ethics, child life, patient representatives, and patient representatives. Topic selections are based on CME needs assessments, new guidelines, requirements for accreditation and licensure, various committee requests, and quality metrics and gaps.
