The Annual Pediatric Postgraduate Course (PPGC)

(Occurs yearly, between Feb-Mar)

Every year, for the past 58 years, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, has presented an annual Pediatric Postgraduate Course (PPGC) -- a course that is regarded as the most established continuing, independent medical education program in the country. Renowned faculty from all over the United States and the world are invited to participate and present the most recent advances to the practicing pediatrician that directly impacts the practice. Participants will be exposed to the world's foremost teachers who have proven ability to translate theoretical information to the practical level of day-to-day pediatric care.

The Annual General Pediatric Review & Self-Assessment (GPRSA)

(Occurs yearly, in the month of May)

This course presents material designated by the ABP Content Outline as necessary for preparation for Board certification in a comprehensive and intensive presentation prior to participating in the exam.

Annual Pediatric Hospital Medicine Review & Self-Assessment (PHMSA)

(Not taking place in 2024)

This course is intended for those expecting to complete the board certification exam to become a board-certified Pediatric Hospital Medicine sub-specialist. The course is designed to be an intensive review of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Courses focus on core material covering ABP PHM content.

The Annual Human Growth Foundation Conference

(Occurs yearly, in the month of October)

The Human Growth Foundation Education Day Conference is for pediatricians, primary care physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners, medical students and medical personnel interested in updating medical knowledge of conditions and entities in Pediatric Endocrinology.

Annual Pediatric Critical Care Review & Self-Assessment (PCCSA)

(Postponed - Future dates TBA)

This Self-Assessment is designed to be an intensive review of Pediatric Critical Care. The 2020 course features about 25-30 hours of lectures on pediatric critical care medicine topics with 24 CME credit hours. There are more than 300 multiple choice, board style questions for practice and test your knowledge..

Bi-Annual Pediatric Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (PFCCS)

(Postponed - Future dates TBA)

This course is to introduce principles important in the initial care of critically ill or injured pediatric patients to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers who are not skilled in pediatric critical care but who must care for such a patient in anticipation of the arrival of a pediatric intensivist or pending transfer of the patient to a more suitable facility.
