Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees are expected to:

  1. Understand the rationale and describe main points in the 2020 Surviving Sepsis Campaign pediatric sepsis, septic shock, and organ dysfunction guidelines
  2. Describe guideline recommendations for the recognition of sepsis, septic shock, and organ dysfunction
  3. Describe updated recommendations for antibiotic therapy, fluid management, and vasoactive medications in pediatric sepsis
