(Pediatricians are always faced with calls and questions from parents related to medications. These questions may involve tricks and advice to mask bad-tasting medicine, how to unclog a clogged G-Tube and other medication administration advice. This session will cover how to optimize medication administration for better compliance.)

Objectives

At the end of this session, participants should be able to...

  • Discuss methods to mask the taste and increase medication adherence
  • Explain methods to administer medications via an enteral feeding tube
  • Apply knowledge learned to counsel caregivers on effective medication administration
