Target Audience

Nicklaus Children's Hospital CME activities are provided to pediatricians, House Staff physicians, pediatric subspecialists in medicine & surgery and pediatric researchers. 

Other physicians including family practitioners and other healthcare providers are encouraged to participate when appropriate. One or more of the CME activities is designed to attract and impart CME activities to national and international physicians.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees are expected to: Understand the basic definition of domestic violence, identify the number of patients likely to be victims and/or perpetrators of domestic violence, describe screening procedures to assist in identifying victims and/or perpetrators of domestic violence, and be able to provide patients with information on local resources.
