Target Audience

Nicklaus Children's Hospital CME activities are provided to pediatricians, House Staff physicians, pediatric subspecialists in medicine & surgery and pediatric researchers.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants are expected to:

[1] Understand how the ROTEM is used in pediatric cardiac surgery, [2] Understand the basics of coagulation, [3] Understand how this is altered by cardiopulmonary bypass and how it is treated.
