Target Audience

Nicklaus Children's Hospital CME activities are provided to pediatricians, House Staff physicians, pediatric subspecialists in medicine & surgery and pediatric researchers. Other physicians including family practitioners and other healthcare providers are encouraged to participate when appropriate. One or more of the CME activities is designed to attract and impart CME activities to national and international physicians.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees are expected to:

  1. Review the preclinical and clinical data for cognitive and endocrine impairment after cranial radiotherapy
  2. List important factors that influence the magnitude of delayed cognitive effects in brain tumor patients (Unrelated to radiotherapy; Related to radiotherapy)
  3. Review strategies to decrease cognitive and endocrine decline following cranial radiotherapy (Radiotherapy; Pharmacotherapy; Cognitive remediation therapy)
