Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify key clinical, cultural, and resource-related considerations that influence the delivery of safe and effective pediatric healthcare in an international medical mission setting.
- Apply evidence-based clinical assessment and decision-making strategies appropriate for patients presenting in a resource-limited environment, including recognition of conditions requiring escalation or referral.
- Demonstrate effective communication, cultural humility, ethical practice, and interdisciplinary teamwork when providing care to children and families during an international medical mission.
