The Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) works diligently as the regulating entity of Florida’s medical marijuana use program. The OMMU highly prioritizes the safe and legal use of medical marijuana by all qualified patients. To accomplish this, the OMMU completes routine inspections of the Treatment Centers’ cultivation, processing, and dispensing facilities, and requires comprehensive testing of all medical marijuana and low-THC cannabis products through the Certified Marijuana Testing Laboratories before products are made available to qualified patients. The OMMU also develops rules and process to safeguard the medical aspect of the program and combat diversion.
