Andrew Sy is a new attending in Palliative Care also known as the Pediatric Advanced Care Team here at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. He joins us after having completed medical school at the University of Arizona in Tucson, pediatrics residency at Kaiser Permanente Southern California in Los Angeles, hematology/oncology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Orange County, and finally a fellowship in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Northwestern/Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. His interests include improving communication between families and care teams, advanced care planning in the adolescent and young adult populations and advancing pediatric palliative care through telemedicine. He is excited to start a new journey here in Miami and at Nicklaus Children's Hospital.
