Target Audience
Nicklaus Children's Hospital CME activities are provided to pediatricians, House Staff physicians, pediatric subspecialists in medicine & surgery and pediatric researchers. Other physicians including family practitioners and other healthcare providers are encouraged to participate when appropriate. One or more of the CME activities is designed to attract and impart CME activities to national and international physicians.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this presentation, attendees are expected to:
- Understand basic concepts related to the etiology, clinical presentation, and diagnosis of COVID-19 related MIS-C in children
- Learn about the incidence, current data, and reporting system for MIS-C in the US, including novel AI methodology for analysis.
- Learn about the local data and efforts at NCHS for the clinical diagnosis and management of MIS-C
- Gain insight on the principles of management of MIS-C, specifically of the critically ill child.
