Brittany Johnson is the Registered Nurse Craniofacial Team Coordinator and Cleft Feeding Educator at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Lake Nona, Orlando, FL. Brittany’s key role involves being the bridge between patients and families to the various healthcare providers involved in the patient’s care. She coordinates their appointments with the Cleft/Craniofacial team, conducts regular check-ins with the families, monitors and assesses cleft patient weights, performs feeding assessments for patients with a diagnosis of cleft lip and/or palate, and provides education to our families pre and post operatively. Brittany graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s in science pre-clinical and obtained her second accelerated bachelor’s in nursing degree from ECPI University in Lake Mary, FL. Brittany is a Certified Lactation Counselor as well as a Certified Pediatric Nurse.  Brittany’s nursing experience ranges from providing nursing care at a level one trauma pediatric emergency department, pediatric bone marrow transplant, postpartum mother and infant care, and telephonic pharmaceutical education prior to joining the Nemours Children’s Health organization in January 2022.
