Dr Rottgers is an associate professor of plastic surgery and the chief of pediatric plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.  He is a former president of the Florida Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association.  He is actively engaged in research related to cleft and craniofacial surgery outcomes, access to care for cleft-related conditions, and the development of new tools for diagnosing cleft-related velopharyngeal dysfunction.  He has over 80 peer-reviewed publications.
