Elisha Peterson, MD MEd FAAP FASA, is a Harvard-trained pain medicine physician, triple board certified anesthesiologist, and TEDx speaker. She is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Pain, and Perioperative Medicine at George Washington and former Director of Chronic Pain at Children's National. In addition to helping thousands of children, adolescents, and young adults get their lives back, she serves on the Pedialink Editorial Board for the American Academy of Pediatrics, advocating for online educational pain content. She is also co-editor of the pediatric section of the Open Anesthesia podcast. She has peer-reviewed publications and written book chapters on chronic pain. Her passion as a medical educator motivated her to speak on the national stage about the importance of improving the quality of care for children with chronic pain.
