Nancy Torres Burling is the Family Navigator Program Director at the University of Miami and a Family Faculty at the Mailman Center for Child Development. Before this position, Ms. Torres served for 14 years as an Industrial Psychologist in both corporate and nonprofit organizations and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Masters in Human Resources Management. Over her career, she has participated as a parent advocate in several community boards such as Florida Network on Disabilities (Chair), Children’s Services Council of Broward County, Special Needs Advisory Coalition (Co-Chair), Florida Family Leadership Network, MDCPS Superintendent's District Advisory Panel for Students with Disabilities, University of Miami Mailman Advisory Council and the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP).
