7th Annual Virtual Pediatric Critical Care Self Assessment

Welcome to the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (NCH) 7th Annual Pediatric Critical Care Self-Assessment. This year, we are pleased to make the Pediatric Critical Care Self-Assessment virtual and on-demand. The Self-Assessment is designed to be an intensive review of Pediatric Critical Care. The 2020 course features about 25-30 hours of lectures on pediatric critical care medicine topics with 24 CME credit hours. There are more than 300 multiple choice, board style questions for practice and test your knowledge.

The faculty, meeting planners, and CME Committee have designed the course to increase attendees’ competency in Medical Knowledge and Patient Care. It is hoped that increasing competence in the medical knowledge will result in improved performance on the ABP examination and on patient care which will result indirectly in improved patient outcomes. The course is designed to cover the ABMS content specifications as well as the content specification as stated by the American Board of Pediatrics for Pediatric Critical Care Board Certification.

The topics and discussions, particularly with the addition of the concurrent sessions, all six ACGME Competencies are addressed:

  1. Medical Knowledge
  2. Patient Care
  3. Systems-Based Practice
  4. Practice-Based Learning and Improvement
  5. Communication Skills
  6. Professionalism

Thank you for using the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital 7th Annual Pediatric Critical Care Self-Assessment your CME/ Board Preparation destination. We are glad that you are here and hope that the course meets your expectations.

Sincerely;

Balagangadhar Totapally, MD
