Session Objectives:
After this presentation, attendees are expected to:
1) Be familiar with the history of discussing tragic news with patients in medicine and the impact it has on patients and families, 2) Understand the Breaking Bad News (BBN) Program method of delivering tragic news to patients and families, 3) Learn communication techniques that will help healthcare professionals to form trusting relationships with patients and improve their overall patient experience even during the most tragic times.
