Endoscopy is one of the valuable diagnostics and; in some situations; treatment tools available for the Pediatric Gastroenterologist to address various GI problems. Advances in Pediatric Endoscopy have occurred in the last decade giving this tool additional uses and benefits. This session will provide a review of Pediatric Endoscopy and the advances achieved to inform pediatricians about the wide scope of its use.

Practice management is rarely well-taught in residency. This session will cover common and practical tips for practicing physicians to optimize the quality, safety, and financial viability of a practice both in the USA and globally.

Food insecurity affects a large portion of our patient’s families and negatively influences their physical health and well-being. This issue can only be addressed if we screen for it, discuss it, and provide resources. This session will highlight the problem of food insecurity, its impact, and what clinicians in all specialties can do about it, especially the medical home.

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in the young is a devastating incident that may be due to silent problems including arrhythmias, prolonged QT syndrome, and HOCM. Project ADAM is an initiative that can be replicated in many communities to prepare communities and schools to screen and take action in the event of an SCA. This session will describe a pilot project ADAM implemented at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Data will be shared and guidance provided for communities interested in replicating the project.
