    At the completion of this activity, participants are expected to: 1) Discuss the importance of improving trauma care knowledge for better care and outcomes, 2) Verbalize the appropriate measures, based on evidence-based practice to care for trauma patients acutely and in resuscitation, 3) Identify how new practices in trauma patient care impact and change patient care outcomes.

    1. Identify key clinical, cultural, and resource-related considerations that influence the delivery of safe and effective pediatric healthcare in an international medical mission setting, 2. Apply evidence-based clinical assessment and decision-making strategies appropriate for patients presenting in a resource-limited environment, including recognition of conditions requiring escalation or referral, 3. Demonstrate effective communication, cultural humility, ethical practice, and interdisciplinary teamwork when providing care to children and families during an international medical mission.
