Jorge Galvez Silva, MD
Dr. Galvez Silva is a pediatric blood and marrow transplant physician with Kidz Medical Services, which provides state-of-the-art treatment using novel technologies that involve stem cells for the treatment of several non-malignant and malignant pediatric conditions. Dr. Galvez Silva received his medical degree from Faculty of Medical Sciences, Autonomous University of Honduras. He completed his pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, formerly Miami Children’s Hospital, in Miami Florida. He then completed his fellowship in pediatric Hematology-Oncology at The University Of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Galvez Silva also completed a comprehensive pediatric stem cell transplant fellowship, at the Masonic Children’s Hospital in The University of Minnesota.
Dr. Galvez Silva is a member of the American Society Hematology, American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Pediatric Blood and Bone Marrow transplant Consortium, and American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. Dr. Galvez Silva is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Galvez Silva participates in conducting research studies in stem cell transplantation for children with non-malignant condition, including acquired and inherited bone marrow failure syndrome, and metabolic conditions.
