Martha Mejia, a dentist from Colombia, specializes in Dentofacial Orthopedics and served as a Research Associate in 2000 alongside Dr. Samuel Berkowitz, focusing on evaluating Craniofacial treatments. With an impressive 27-year tenure, she has dedicated her career to treating patients with craniofacial issues and researching the treatment of cleft lip and palate patients.

Since 2001, Martha has been an integral member of the Craniofacial team at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami. Adding to her contributions, she has been a consultant and reviewer of presurgical treatment for Smile Train Express since 2018 and has been a consultant for SAMAC Smile Train (South America Advisory Council), part of tho Orthotask group on Smile Train organization.

Beyond her clinical and research roles, Martha is recognized as an international lecturer. In 1996, she founded the Sonríe Foundation in Pereira, Colombia, focusing on comprehensive management for patients with clefts.

Drawing from her extensive clinical practice, Martha has leveraged her experience to develop innovative devices for treating cleft palate patients.
