Dr. Ileana Torres is board-certified Pediatric Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Miami/Holtz Children’s Hospital. Her scope of practice ranges from fetal life where she diagnoses congenital heart defects and arrhythmias to perioperative TEEs. She is also involved in the training of Pediatric Cardiology fellows and Pediatric residents at Jackson Memorial Hospital.  

She is from Puerto Rico, where she earned her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University and was inducted into the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She then moved to Miami where she completed a residency in General Pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital followed by fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where she is now faculty.
