Jenny Zablah Alabi, MD, FAAC, FAAP, FSCAI, FPICS

Dr. Jenny Zablah is a congenital interventional cardiologist and Associate Professor of Pediatrics with a career in pediatric and congenital heart disease interventions. She completed her medical training at Miami Children’s Hospital, where she pursued her internship and residency in Pediatrics. She then specialized in Pediatric Cardiology through a fellowship at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, followed by advanced training in Congenital Interventional Cardiology at the University of Colorado (Children’s Hospital Colorado).
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Zablah is deeply engaged in clinical innovation and research within the field of congenital cardiac catheterization. Her work focuses on cutting-edge imaging technologies, including 3D fusion imaging, 3D printing from rotational angiography, and the application of Virtual/Extended Reality in interventional procedures. She is also dedicated to developing low-radiation techniques for complex interventions, aiming to enhance patient safety while advancing the field of congenital cardiology.
Dr. Zablah has been recognized internationally for her contributions to medicine and science. Her influence extends beyond clinical work, having been named one of Forbes Central America’s 100 Most Influential and Most Powerful Women in Central America and the Caribbean for her contributions to technological and scientific advancements. She has also been recognized as the Salvadoran Youth Ambassador in Medicine and Science and as an “Emblematic Woman” for her impact as a leader in global healthcare innovation.
Currently serving as a congenital Interventional Cardiologist at Children’s Hospital Colorado and University of Colorado, is the Director of the Advanced Imaging Program at the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of the Pulmonary Vein Stenosis Program in the same center. She is in addition, the Clinical Director of the Modern Human Anatomy Program at the University of Colorado. Dr. Zablah continues to push the boundaries of congenital interventional cardiology, pioneering novel imaging and procedural techniques to improve outcomes for children and adults with congenital heart disease.
