Nivedita Patni, M.D.

Dr. Nivedita Patni received her medical degree from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in India. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Miami Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she subsequently joined the faculty. Her primary academic and clinical interests encompass pediatric lipid disorders, mainly focusing on genetic dyslipidemias, including familial chylomicronemia syndrome and rare lipodystrophy syndromes. Dr. Patni established the pediatric lipid clinic at Children’s Health, and her research endeavors are dedicated to elucidating the mechanisms and treatment strategies for familial chylomicronemia syndrome and lipodystrophy. Additionally, Dr. Patni serves as the program director for the pediatric endocrinology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she contributes to the education and training of future specialists in the field.
