Abd-El-Rahman (A.R.) Abd-El-Barr, MD, is a board-certified pediatric urologist who earned his medical degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Abd-El-Barr completed his general surgical internship and urologic surgery residency at the Vattikuti Urology Institute at, Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He further specialized with an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Miami Children’s Health System/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Dr. Abd-El-Barr also earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, TX. He comes to AdventHealth from Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers, FL, where he helped establish the hospital’s pediatric urology program. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and presentations in prestigious journals and conferences, including the Journal of Urology and the American Urologic Association annual meetings.
