Paul Martinez, MD, FAAP
Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Martinez graduated from medical school at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1989. He then matriculated to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where he completed both a 3-year pediatric residency and an additional year as chief resident. Dr. Martinez practiced general pediatrics in Smithtown, NY for over 10 years before moving to Miami in 2011 for a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Martinez is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, and he is a United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties diplomat with certification in neurocritical care. Dr. Martinez is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University.
