Abigail Ley, MD
Pediatric Neurologist
Dr. Abigail Ley is a pediatric neurologist at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Brain Institute. She earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Ley completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in child neurology and neurodevelopmental disabilities at George Washington University/Children's National Health System in Washington, DC. Her clinical area of expertise includes autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Before entering the medical field, Dr. Ley received a master's degree in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, England. She also received a Fulbright scholarship to research bamboo housing in India.
Dr. Ley is board-certified in pediatrics, and neurology with special qualifications in child neurology and neurodevelopmental disabilities. She is a member of the Child Neurology Society, has presented at medical conferences, and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Ley also edited the book “Art Can Heal,” which focuses on the pioneering work of art therapist and artist Sigridur Bjornsdottir.
