Cloty Toro, MD, FAAP
Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist
Dr. Cloty Toro is a pediatric emergency medicine specialist who sees patients in the Emergency Department at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Zapopan, Mexico. Dr. Toro then completed a residency in pediatrics at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York, where she also served as chief resident. She then pursued fellowships in pediatric emergency medicine and emergency medicine ultrasound at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her clinical interests include point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), pediatric trauma, and resuscitation.
Dr. Toro is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Society of Clinical Ultrasound Fellowships, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences.
