Marcela Nur, MD., is a board-certified adolescent medicine specialist practicing at Golisano Children's Hospital and Lee Physician Group in Fort Myers Florida since November of 2020. Before moving to the West Coast of Florida, Dr. Nur worked at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics from 2019-2020, and at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas from 2011 to 2019. Dr. Nur specializes in menstrual disorders in adolescents, including polycystic ovary syndrome, dysmenorrhea, abnormal vaginal bleeding, as well as sexual and reproductive health.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) where she serves as a member in the Resident Education Committee.
Dr. Nur goal is to provide the best medical care to adolescents and young adults. She has presented her research on PCOS, human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, mental health issues in adolescents with T2DM in different national meetings, and her work has appeared in the Journal of Pediatrics and the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
