Pediatric Hospitalist

Dr. de la Vega is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is an attending physician within the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. de la Vega earned her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed both her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include counseling patients and families, as well as quality improvement projects.
 
Dr. de la Vega is double board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has served as a volunteer with a variety of community-based and medical organizations.
