Arielle Hay, MD, NCPS Section Chief
Dr. Arielle Hay is chief of the Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) Section of Rheumatology and a pediatric rheumatologist within the Division of Rheumatology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She is also a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Hay earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She then pursued both a residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York. Her clinical interests include juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus, juvenile idiopathic arthritis and transition of care for adolescents with chronic illness.
Dr. Hay is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatism Research Alliance (CARRA). She is currently involved in research studies regarding an observational study of pediatric rheumatic diseases through the CARRA Registry. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has written chapters for medical textbooks and presented at medical conferences.
Dr. Hay is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician-led multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She grew up in South Florida and is pleased to provide care to children in the local community. Dr. Hay speaks English and Hebrew.
