Annette Medina, MD
Dr. Annette L. Medina is a pediatric gastroenterologist within the Division of Gastroenterology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico. Dr. Medina completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, where she also served as chief resident. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Her clinical interests encompass gastrointestinal disorders such as abdominal pain and constipation, as well as eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases and liver disease.
Dr. Medina is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology . She is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN). Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at medical conferences.
