Teresa Vente, DO, MPH
Dr. Vente is originally from upstate NY. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University at Albany State University of New York. She has also earned a Masters of Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She completed her medical training at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has combined post-graduate training in Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry as a former Triple Board Resident at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. She is also a graduate of the Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Vente is involved in medical education at all levels from medical students to fellows. She has co-developed a primary palliative care skills curriculum for pediatric subspecialty fellows in cardiology, neurology and hematology/oncology. She serves as the Program Director for the pediatric-track of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Northwestern University.
Dr. Vente currently practice as a full-time pediatric palliative care clinician at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. She is active in clinical research with projects focusing on social media use in adolescents and young adults with serious illness, as well as prescribing practices among palliative care physicians.
