Pedro Pagan Banchs, MD, FAAP
Pediatric Endocrinologist
Dr. Pagán Banchs is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He is a pediatric endocrinologist within the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Pagán Banchs earned his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He then completed a residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. His clinical interests include pituitary disorders, bone mineral disorders, endocrine late effects of cancer treatment and diabetes.
Dr. Pagán Banchs is board certified in general pediatrics and in pediatric endocrinology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Academic Pediatric Association, Pediatric Endocrine Society, and Endocrine Society. Dr. Pagán Banchs has presented at medical conferences. He has volunteered his time to assist underserved populations through a variety of healthcare-focused national and international non-profit organizations.
