Shifra Koyfman, MD
Dr. Koyfman is a pediatric gastroenterologist within the Division of Gastroenterology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She also serves as associate director for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition fellowship at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. Dr. Koyfman completed her pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York; then pursued a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital for Children in Boston. During her fellowship training at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Koyfman worked on research focused on the enteric nervous system (ENS) in Dr. Allan Goldstein’s Lab. Dr. Koyfman is board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. She is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) along with the American Academy Pediatrics. She is on the national triaging committees for NASPGHAN, and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She serves on several national
