Meghan Galligan, MD, MSHP is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). At CHOP, she serves as the Medical Director of both the Patient Safety Program and the Center for Diagnostic Excellence.
Dr. Galligan’s area of scholarly focus is on safety and quality, with a specific interest in understanding how healthcare team behaviors affect patient care and outcomes. Dr. Galligan completed her fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and her residency training in General Pediatrics at CHOP. She completed the Master of Science and Health Policy Research program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also obtained formal training in improvement science and patient safety through the Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Safety. Dr. Galligan received her medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine, and her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from Harvard College.
