Lian Santiago, MSN,RN,CPN,CCRN-K
Lian Santiago, MSN, RN, CPN, CCRN-K is a nurse leader with over 10 years of pediatric critical care nursing experience. Lian obtained her, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from West Coast University in 2017 and graduated Summa Cumme laude. Lian has presented both podium and poster presentations across several professional organization conferences. She is an active member of the American Association of Critical- Care Nurses (AACN) and served on the advisory board for Nursing Consortium South Florida (NCSF).
Lian is a steadfast advocate for nursing excellence and has been the catalyst behind several nursing-led initiatives, such as HOUDINI protocol for autonomous nursing foley catheter removal, the Early Mobility Program and the Cornell Assessment of Pediatric Delirium (CAPD).
In addition to her PICU leadership role, Lian has lead several organizational quality improvement efforts such as the closure of several DNV CAPAs and serves as the Hospital HAC lead for CLABSI.
During the Covid pandemic, Lian worked with an interdisciplinary team to develop an innovative “unit within a unit” to safely navigate covid-19 while still providing care to non-covid patients. This effort was recognized as best practice in which we were selected to speak at a state conference.
