Subaraman Ramchandran, MD
Dr. Subaraman Ramchandran is a pediatric spine surgeon with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Center for Spinal Disorders. He earned his medical degree from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences/Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India. Dr. Ramchandran completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences/Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Hospital in Mumbai, India. He then pursued a fellowship in spine surgery at NYU Langone Health, as well as a research fellowship in spine and scoliosis research at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York City. Dr. Ramchandran then acquired advanced training with a fellowship in pediatric spine surgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. His clinical interests include complex adult and pediatric spinal deformities, spinal tumors and degenerative spinal pathologies.
Dr. Ramchandran is a member of the AOSpine International and North America, International Society for Advancement of Spine Surgery, North American Spine Society, Association of Spine Surgeons of India and the Bombay Orthopedic Society. His work has been published in more than 20 peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Ramchandran has also written chapters for medical textbooks and presented at medical conferences both nationally and globally.
Dr. Ramchandran is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. He speaks English, Hindi and Tamil.
