Verena Schreiber, MD, FAAOS
Dr. Verena M. Schreiber is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with Nicklaus Children's Hospital Orthopedic Surgery Program She earned her medical degree at the Medical University of Innsbruck in Austria. Dr. Schreiber completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Ohio. Her clinical interests include neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy, pediatric and adolescent hip conditions, and orthopedic trauma as well as brachial plexus injuries.
Dr. Schreiber is board certified in orthopedic surgery. She is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, Orthopaedic Research Society, Gesellschaft für Arthroskopie und Gelenkchirurgie , American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. Dr. Schreiber also serves on the Resident Communications Committee for the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, as well as the Diversity Advisory Board for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Awards Committee for the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine In addition, she participates as a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, she has written textbook chapters and presented at both national and global medical conferences.
Dr. Schreiber is employed by Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Specialists, the multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System. She is bilingual in English and German.
