Prior to joining Miami Children’s in February of 1995, I was at the following organizations:

Deering Hospital (now known as Jackson South) in various roles and lastly as Director of Medical Staff Services from 6/1984 to 12/1993

I served as  Administrator for a home health care agency  - MC Home Health Care from 12/1993 to 9/1994.

Thereafter, I was the Director of Medical Staff Services for an independent credentialing verification organization (CVO), Professional Credentialing Resources from 9/1994 to 1/1995.

I joined NCH (known at Miami Children’s at that time) in 2/1995 as a medical staff assistant and moved through various roles and duties within the organization, overseeing medical staff services/affairs, medical library, medical education, simulation lab and the pediatric postgraduate course, our cornerstone CME event.

I have a professional certificate in Accounting & Finance from Florida International University (2002)

And hold certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services as a certified professional in medical services management.

I am a Miamian – born and raised.
