At the conclusion of the activity, participants should 1) have a better understanding of what is needed to provide sustainable service in international mission endeavors, 2) be able to better understand the impact of variable resources in determining the proper choice of medical/surgical care in the host country, and 3) understand not only the positive but also the potential negative implications of providing medical care in a foreign country.
